Hello Lyndsay. Thank you for mentioning the Moon Shed. I've been feeling mixed about the dark. Partly it makes me feel tired and then I am glad to have a reason not to go out. I love lighting candles in the morning too, although I will still do this throughout the whole year.

Ah of course, I really loved taking part in your winter retreat Claire! Yes I absolutely know what you mean about the dark, I feel as though it provides me with the permission to hunker down in winter which I think is perhaps what is needed in winter? And yes to candles in the morning, it really is such a beautiful and intentional way to start the day. I remember listening to podcast in the early days of mothering which talked about ‘lighting a candle to yourself each day’, I liked it, it felt like an act of remembering ourselves when it is easy to get swept up in the mornings (and rest of the day tbh!) xx

Thanks for sharing your winter reflections! I also love to reflect seasonally vs. yearly. So much easier to think about things in chunks of a season rather than a whole year. It allows me to really sink into the essence of the energy rather than just focus on what got done or didn’t get done.

Yesss it’s feeling so much more natural and manageable to me, and in terms of thinking ahead too. And yes to sinking in and aligning with the energy that surrounds us/is within us. You’re right, it feels so much more helpful to think about how we have lived seasonally rather than in terms of productivity, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this Ashley xx

Beautiful reflections. And strangely, I realised I kind of miss always waking up to the darkness - I have to be up particularly early to catch it these days. Though am looking very much forward to spring’s softer, warmer says too! Xx

Thank you for reading Annabel. Ha it’s funny isn’t it?! I never thought I would be one to enjoy rising in the dark but there is definitely a cosy magic to it. But also, I am so looking forward to stepping outside on a sunny morning and like you, feeling the softness of spring! xx

This was so beautiful lynz. The gradual shifting of light you described made me think of one morning in December when we woke for a winter sunrise as a family, which was one of my absolute favorite moments of 2024. Definitely recommend! Can share our spot...

I love how you are doing these videos. They feel cosy & impromptu, almost like I’ve popped in for a cup of tea with you. I am sure that is not actually how it is for you but it’s appreciated 🧡
