Thank you for the opportunity, Lyndsay! I really enjoyed answering the questions 💫

I haven’t tried colour drenching but love the idea of it, and it looks stunning with the cornice. Do you have a ceiling rose, too?

Also, “energised by this borrowed, longer light.” Beautiful words. I could do with a little more sunshine this month ✨

So beyond a pleasure and privilege to have you as part of the series, I am so glad you enjoyed it.

Ah thank you re: the colour drenching, yes I like how it brings a different look to a traditional interior. Sadly no ceiling rose in this room. Thinking about a lighting fixture actually as it is currently a hanging bulb (and a lot of candles!)

Thank you for your kind words, sending you so much sunshine xx

I loved what you said about changing workspaces depending on your task and how you want to feel. I’ve found myself doing this recently and felt quite bad that I was choosing the couch for writing instead of my desk - but this post has made me reconsider the judgements that I attached to these different workspaces 🥰

Hope you can embrace it now! I love to move around. Totally depends on my own energy AND the energy of a space 💛

Really enjoyed reading this Lyndsay and Sarah - your room sounds like it's taking shape nicely Lyndsay and I like the colour too, it does look cosy. And a great idea to move from space to space for inspiration too, I'm going to try this - my usual writing spot of my son's bedroom isn't very inspiring I have to say - the conservatory might be better! X

Glad you enjoyed it, Jenna! Today I’m hoping to do a little research and planning from the sofa, if the littlest takes a long nap 🤞🏻

Hope you got a chance to do your research and planning during naptime, I always feel so pleased with myself when I manage to do something creative during naptime! I did a bit of planning in the conservatory and it was lovely with the winter sun shining through the windows and a playlist on, thanks for the inspiration! X

Sounds like bliss! Today was less of a hit and more of a miss for me. And my childcare plans for tomorrow are no more. We take the rough with the smooth though, right? 🫠

Ah Sarah, sending you love. I so know that feeling of when you thought you had a slot of time that gets pulled away for one reason or another. We have to move on of course but it can be so frustrating! xx

It was lovely, enjoyed the peace while it lasted! I hear you, it's constant adapting isn't it to things changing all of the time. Makes us super resilient hey! X

Thank you for reading Jenna, I am so happy that you were inspired and made some changes that created a positive shift in your workspace today! It does sound wonderful to have the winter sun pouring in. I agree, it is great when you manage to carve out some creative time in nap time though I find I often am overwhelmed with choice about how to spend the precious time and find that the unpredictability of how long the stretch is going to be, and the anticipation of being interrupted means I sometimes don’t get as much done as I would like...! xx

The winter sun was so welcome! Yes I totally know what you mean about being overwhelmed with choice and not knowing how long naps are going to last too, it can feel like a lot of pressure to achieve something in that short space of time too. Xx

Thank you for reading Claire and yes agreed, natural light is so important. Everything is better in natural light! Thank you re: my creative space, getting there slowly slowly (and tbh it is just so nice to have a place that isn’t overtaken with other people’s things...i.e. toys!) xx

I loved this so very much. I do have a few spaces I shift between! My couch nook is where I go most frequently. There are plants, art work, my books and pens, cozy blankets. This is where I go before my children rise and snuggle them after they do. During the day I will sit at our wooden table by the big sliding door/window to our backyard where I can watch my favorite oak tree, Maeve, and soak up the light. When I need the air, which is often as I love being outside, I will set up a chair on the deck or under her limbs with far too many books and notebooks, along with a hot cup of coffee, and let my mind wander.

Something I’m missing here is a lovely outdoor space. It’s one of the things I most want to tend to when we make the next move. Of course, we have the countryside on our doorstep, but there’s something about having my own garden that appeals! I also love that you’ve named your oak tree 🥰

Ah I agree Sarah. This is the first garden we have owned and there is something incredibly special about having a piece of land to tend to and be in xx

Oh Jess, your couch nook sounds absolutely magical! The perfect blend of inspiring and cosy. I love that your table looks onto your garden and Maeve, what a beautiful name for an oak tree. I absolutely love the idea of creating outdoors.Thank you for reading xx
