“Beauty is noticing.” 🍂

This piece is so lovely, and brings some answers to questions I've been musing on lately. Thank you Lyndsay 💗

Thank you so much for reading Jess. And yes it really can be as simple as noticing! I’m glad that resonated for you and you found my ponderings helpful in some way xx

Loved this perspective shift Lyndsay! And the connection between inner beauty and what we’re seeing in our homes✨

I’ve noticed, now that I’m getting out of the thick fog of early motherhood, how my space isn’t the beautiful oasis I crave and every time a make a new little tweak to create that- I feel different and better 🥰

Oh I love that you are finding the connection between inner beauty and home. (I hope you will enjoy the storied home guide that will be coming your way soon!)

And yes, I absolutely understand where you are coming from when you talk about the fog of early motherhood and our homes. We should definitely give ourselves some grace in this (and any) chapter, but it is wonderful to notice how the little changes you make can deeply affect the way you feel in your space. It’s a great way to think about it xx

Thank you, a lovely reminder to always follow the beauty, the joy. Wednesdays are my day with the boys and I always see so much beauty and in this season too.

Ah such a pleasure Natalie. It really does make all the difference to daily life. And so much so when with the little ones too. I love when my two start to point things out, my son will often say “that’s a beautiful door/tree/flower”, it’s the sweetest! And yes to this season…autumn and this season of mothering I think! xx

BeautyFULL words and writing dearest, I feel very guided by the kind of beauty you describe, in the mundane and moments where you simply open up to the magic and something brings a sense of awe or magic. I cannot wait to sit and be with you in the seasonal salon xxx

Thank you dear L. I’m glad you feel guided by the beauty I have tried to put words to. As you say, it really can be found in the smallest things. So happy you will be joining the autumn salon, it already feels like a magic portal, can’t wait to share with you xx

I love this, obviously! Both for your reflections, and for your beautiful descriptions (& images) of the woods. And I love this idea of beauty being about awakening & surrendering in the same breath. Beautiful! ❤️ xx

Hi Lyndsay, oh beauty is everywhere around me. It's like you said, beauty is noticing. Even in a busy, and maybe "ugly" part of where I live, admidst concrete, cars, noise.. there still is a beautiful tree turning yellow, a happy dandilion, a bird singing, a pink sky.. when I began noticing more, searching beauty everywhere around me, not just looking for it in a Forest or nature reserve, i was blown away by the realisation how generous beauty is. And comforting.

You are so right, it is not always in the most obvious places and sometimes when it is unexpected, it has even more of a lasting effect. Thank you for sharing your beauty moments, they are so special. Generous and comforting are wonderful words to describe the experience, thank you! xx

Beautiful writing Lyndsay. I especially think of the word fleeting when it comes to beauty. You can't quite capture it.

Thank you so much for reading Claire. And yes, I think you are right, beauty does often feel fleeting, maybe that’s what makes it so precious? Thank you again for reading and sharing your thoughts xx

Oh Lyndsey this is so so good. I am now reading this after sharing my thoughts on beauty today. Perfect timing! I listened to a podcast with John O’Donohue this year and it was so inspiring. I love the words of his you shared here. I feel like there is a collective pull to beauty in these days, it feels like the substance that carries us through the ups and downs in life x
