I have been loving the dark mornings so much as well. It has been such a sanctuary to watch the sun rise slowly.

Also the word "sun-stillness" - will def be using that one!

Yes I completely agree, I am wondering why I spent so long dreading them, they really are a gift and beautiful way to ease into the day (I actually feel as though my little ones are slightly calmer in these darker mornings). Ah so glad to hear that the concept of sun-stillness resonated, hope you can rest in the pause amongst the festivities xx

Such soothing words. Thank you, lovely one! This year I’ve also let go of that pressure to feel festive. Instead, I’ve let things unfold naturally. This is often a tender time, which means it’s a tiring one too. So...easy does it 💛

Ah my pleasure Sarah, so glad you found them soothing. And yes so good to let go of the pressure, I almost let it crept in this morning thinking what can we do that’s Christmassy for Christmas Eve but I think being in and setting the table for tomorrow and seeing what we are drawn to will be enough. Yes you are right, tender and heightened, definitely a good idea to try and find where the ease is. Much love to you and your family for a lovely Christmas xx

I too love the darkness of early morning, especially when I am the only one awake, and can really savour its inky black stillness and silence. ❤️

Ooo do you Annabel?! I am so surprised by my love of the dark mornings which I really did used to intensely dislike. I love the idea of solitary time in the dark stillness before the rest of your household is awake. The dream! xx

Beautiful words from a beautiful soul I feel so grateful to have met this year. I have found such magic in the morning darkness this year... especially with the little ones. Sophia looks for the nearby lights every morning. Wishing you a gentle solstice and the quote at the beginning was just perfect! Xx

Ah thank you dear Lauren. Yes so grateful to have met you here this year and to slowly be unveiling our synchronicities! I am delighted to hear you too are immersing yourself in the morning darkness, I am surprised that I am feeling so comforted by it. Ah I love Sophia’s ritual of looking for the lights. Also very into that quote, it says so much. Solstice love to you xx
