The Beauty Thread. is a cosy, joyful and welcoming home where you are invited to come and sit with me for a while — where we notice how the lingering light falls on the living room wall, how the delicate blooms in a favourite vase bring us joy, and how the worn and crumpled linen cushions feel soft on our skin.
Until my early 30s, I lived in a state of perpetual summer — always ‘on’, and giving a lot of myself to the world. Yet whilst striving for external validation, my innermost essence was silenced and obscured. After experiencing layered symptoms of burnout, I began a quest to quieten the outer noise, to heal my body, and to slow down enough to hear my own inner whispers again.

I am Lyndsay, from London…
…a creative mother, writer and interiors | design | arts & lifestyle PR consultant. I write about home, garden, creativity and mothering through the seasons at my publication Story & Thread.
Over more than fifteen years in the PR industry, I have carved out an intuitive, creative role as an enthusiastic ambassador and an experienced storyteller for a roster of global design clients. I love to develop strong relationships with my clients and the press, drawing on opportunities for collaboration, in order to allow campaigns to evolve in enduring, impactful ways.
Telling stories about spaces and the people who make them is at the heart of my role, fostering my interest in the details of feeling ‘at home’ in ourselves, and our surroundings.
The journey into motherhood five years ago thrust me into a deep homecoming in the most magical, profound and essential way. In this chapter of remembering and nurturing, I have been in a deep hibernation with invisible growth taking place below the surface…
